Growing a brokerage with copy trading, IBs and sub-broker brands

Advertising alone is an expensive way to grow a brokerage. The most sustainable growth often comes from people who already trust you: successful traders, partners and the communities around them. Here are three ways to put that to work.

1. Copy trading

Copy trading lets strategy providers publish their accounts and followers copy them. Good providers attract new clients for you, and followers who see results tend to stay.

What makes copy trading work for a broker:

  • Flexible sizing: proportional to equity, fixed lot, or a multiplier.
  • Follower protection: drawdown limits, lot caps and symbol filters.
  • Automatic fees: performance and management fees calculated and settled for you.
  • Oversight: providers, followers, exposure and fees visible in the Manager Desk.

2. Introducing brokers

Introducing brokers bring clients from their own audiences and earn a share of revenue. Give each IB manager access to only their own client groups, and provide reporting through the Manager API so partners can follow their results.

3. Sub-broker brands

Larger partners often want their own brand. Altus Trader’s branding generator builds a logo, app icons, a web trader theme and a mobile app look for a sub-broker in one step, running on your infrastructure. Try it on the branding generator page.

Bringing it together

Copy trading attracts traders, IBs bring communities, and sub-broker brands let your biggest partners grow under their own name, all on one platform and one back office.
